Woman Files Lawsuit after Being Mistaken for Prostitute, Attacked

hotel prostitute attackA New Jersey woman has filed a lawsuit against a Miami hotel after she was mistaken for a prostitute while on its premises.

The suit says that she was beaten up in January in the lobby of the South Beach W Hotel by a group of women she believed to be actual prostitutes. The lawsuit claims the group attacked the lodger because they perceived she was invading their turf. She was slammed against a wall and pushed to the ground by the angry women.

The suit accuses the hotel of fostering a “”prostitute-friendly environment” that directly resulted in the undue violence against the unsuspecting woman.

The suit seeks an undisclosed amount in damages. The hotel does not comment on pending lawsuits.
